Enjoy <span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">this sweet treat!<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<table>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td valign=\"top\" bgcolor=\"#cc6633\" width=\"40%\">\n<h3><em><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\"><strong>Buns<\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/h3>\n<p><em><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">2 packages yeast (or 1\u00bd tablespoons)<\/span><\/em><br \/>\n<em><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\"> \u00bc cup warm water<\/span><\/em><br \/>\n<em><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\"> 1 tablespoon sugar<\/span><\/em><br \/>\n<em><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\"> \u00bd cup sugar<\/span><\/em><br \/>\n<em><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\"> \u00bd cup butter or margarine<\/span><\/em><br \/>\n<em><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\"> 1 cup warm water<\/span><\/em><br \/>\n<em><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\"> 3 eggs, beaten<\/span><\/em><br \/>\n<em><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\"> 4 \u00bd cups flour<\/span><\/em><br \/>\n<em><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\"> 1 teaspoon ground cardamom (optional)<\/span><\/em><br \/>\n<em><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\"> 2 teaspoons salt<\/span><\/em><br \/>\n<em><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\"> 1 egg, beaten (for tops of buns)<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<h3><em><strong><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">Filling<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n<p><em><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">300 grams almond paste<\/span><\/em><br \/>\n<em><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\"> \u00bd cup milk<\/span><\/em><br \/>\n<em><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\"> 1 \u00bd cups whipping cream<\/span><\/em><br \/>\n<em><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\"> Confectioner&#8217;s sugar<\/span><\/em><\/td>\n<td valign=\"top\" width=\"60%\">\n<h3><em>Directions<\/em><\/h3>\n<p>Dissolve yeast in \u00bc cup water with the tablespoon of sugar. Cover, and set aside. Melt butter with the cup of warm water until hot, not boiling. Beat eggs. Mix in \u00bd cup sugar, the cup of warm water and butter and then the yeast. Then stir in the flour, cardamom and salt. Handle the dough as little as possible. Cover and let rise for 1\u00bd to 2 hours. Roll dough into small, 2 inch balls and place on greased baking sheet 2 inches apart. Cover and let rise 1 hour.<\/p>\n<p>Brush the top of each bun with a beaten egg.<\/p>\n<p>Bake at 400 F for 10 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>Cut the top off of each bun. Take out part of the crumbs and put it in a bowl. Add almond paste; mix and dilute with the milk to a soft mixture.<\/p>\n<p>Distribute the filling in the rolls. Whip cream and put a large dollop in every bun. Then replace the tops.<\/p>\n<p>Use a sifter to sift some confectioner\u2019s sugar over the Semlor.
